Sports Psychology

Whether you’re a professional footballer, cricket player, hockey player, skier or runner in your first marathon you’ll know that getting the right psychology is key to your success.

The difference that makes the difference

sports psychology cartoonMany professional sport coaches understand that a quality athlete requires a fine balance between skill and mental strength.

When pushed to say which one they would prefer, most choose mental strength, because it is often easier to teach skill.

As in the psychology of business, mind-set has become more important to professional coaches, because of the large sums of money that sport now commands.

However, whilst there is now a better understanding of what a professional mind-set is, many coaches still find difficulty in getting their athletes to adopt the psychology.

During the session, techniques are used to align and install a successful mind-set within the individual. Because the process is installed at an unconcious level, individuals find they automatically respond to pressure or circumstance in a way that reflects their true talent and ability.
